While I would have seen more trains by staying at home and going to the Oak Park depot, seeing this EJ&E SD38-2 run engine light past Blue Island Junction made it worth the trip.

The Indiana Harbor Belt bridge at Francisco Ave. features these nice B&O Capitol Dome logos. The IHB west of Blue Island tower is actually owned by the Baltimore and Ohio Chicago Terminal and leased to the IHB.

The EJ&E SD38-2 rolls past the tower while a railfan watches. We spoke for a few minutes before the engine arrived. He was very chatty.
